David has coached school, Wellington representative, and senior club teams for over 15 years!

His teams have a strong set of values where players conduct themselves with pride, enjoy playing hockey, and respect each other, the opposition, and referees.

His focus is to develop a positive team environment where players can enjoy playing together and play at a high level by doing good things more often.

His teams play possession-oriented, attack-from-anywhere hockey that aims to entertain themselves and supporters.

Teams David has coached have made 18 finals, winning 10.

With nearly 20 years of coaching experience across multiple age groups, grades, and genders, Leah is a passionate and inspiring leader.

As an assistant coach for the WHA U18 Men’s team in 2024, she has a keen eye for player development and a strong understanding of the representative selection process, making her a valuable asset for young and aspiring players.

Leah has led the Wellington 35+ Women’s team to three national titles, coached New Zealand National Masters age-group teams, and plays a key role in growing Masters Hockey as part of both the Wellington Masters Council and Hockey NZ’s Advisory Group.

Her coaching philosophy centers on strong leadership, adaptability, and fostering meaningful connections with players.
